The foremost task of education

"I regard it as the foremost task of education to ensure the survival of these qualities:
an enterprising curiosity,
an undefeatable spirit,
tenacity in pursuit,
readiness for sensible self denial,
and above all, compassion."
- Kurt Hahn

A great quote from a remarkable man. I did notice the t-shirts the kids were wearing on day one...a fitting reminder to take home with them. Thank you.
Here is more food for thought from outside of the education field:
"One of the greatest discoveries a man makes, one of his great surprises, is to find he can do what he was afraid he couldn't do." --Henry Ford
