Yesterday (Sunday) Ms. Wiechers and I set out on a mission.
The goals of this mission were:
1. Break in our boots even more.
2. Try out new rain pants.
3. See what the last day of the Gilmans Corner trip was like (it's supposed to be the hardest day).
Mission accomplished....sort of.
Our boots are definitely more broken in than before. The rain pants I bought at EMS are not nearly as waterproof as advertised (I'm returning them). As for the last day of Gilmans Corner, well, that would be Beaver Brook Trail, not Kinsman Notch. Kinsman Notch, incase you're wondering is also a lovely, steep trail.

This was the first of many holes we would fall into...No, Ms. Wiechers is not a peg-legged pirate, the snow is just really deep!

Moose Tracks! Really, sure the picture isn't great, but we saw lots of tracks.
